Governor Ron DeSantis announced today during a press conference that he was suspending, effective immediately, a woke state attorney who refused to prosecute violent offenders, enforce the state’s regulations on abortion, or the Florida law prohibiting sex changes for children.

“We are not going to allow the pathogen that’s been around the country of ignoring the law, we are not going to allow that to get a foothold here in the state of Florida,” he said. “We are going to make sure our laws are enforced and no individual prosecutor puts himself above the law.”

The Democrat State Attorney for Tampa Bay, Andrew Warren, was one of the proteges of George Soros, the leftist billionaire who has been funding prosecutors around the country who are willing to use selective enforcement of the law to push for radical leftist agenda. As a result of their lack of enforcement America has seen an unprecedented crime wave in leftist run cities.

At the press conference, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister praised DeSantis’ decision, explaining that his deputies and residents had grown frustrated with Warren’s soft-on-crime approach.

In addition to his refusal to prosecute violent criminals, Warren had joined a national group of prosecutors vowing not to enforce any limitations on abortion. On June 24th, Warren and dozens of other state prosecutors signed on to a letter from the Soros funded organization Fair and Just Prosecution stating that “we decline to use our offices’ resources to criminalize reproductive health decisions and commit to exercise our well- settled discretion and refrain from prosecuting those who seek, provide, or support abortions.”
